WHERE CAN I LEARN MORE ABOUT ARMY NATIONAL GUARD?

The Army National Guard defends the United States in the event of an emergency. The biggest difference compared to other branches is that while Guard units are combat-trained and can be deployed overseas, they are just as likely to serve in their home communities. Visit Army National Guard’s website to learn more.

WHY ARE ARMY NATIONAL GUARD SOLDIERS CALLED CITIZEN-SOLDIERS?

Citizen-Soldiers hold civilian jobs or attend college while maintaining their military training part-time, always ready defend the U.S. This means they face the unique challenge of being both a Citizen and a Soldier. Army Guard Soldiers are continuously asked to “do it all” with limited access to Army facilities and programs.
